About Me
Hi there! My name is Mary Legg and I am a 3rd
grade teacher in the beautiful state of Colorado. I began my teaching career in Central Florida
after graduating in December of 2007.
After college I took over a maternity leave for a teacher in 2nd
grade. The following school year I
changed schools and grade levels, and taught 1st grade for 4
years. I loved teaching first grade and
I was lucky to be a part of a team where I was able to meet some of my best
friends. However, I needed a change and a
school that wasn’t 45 minutes from my home, so I transferred to a school closer
to my house. There I was able to teach 2nd
grade for 2 years before finding out a company my husband worked for would ask
him to transfer out to Boulder, Colorado.
We packed up our family and moved from sunny Florida to COLD
Colorado! Once we were settled I began
teaching half-day kindergarten at a small neighborhood school about 10 minutes
from my home. The next year I moved to 2nd
grade at the same school and this year I was able to loop with my kiddos into 3rd
grade! And, if you add that up
correctly, that means I will be going into my 9th year of teaching!
My awesome husband of 9 years is a software engineer at
______. He is the one who put all his
engineering skills to work to help me create my blog. We have 3 amazing kids and he is my best
friend : )
Speaking of my kiddos- we have 3 (2 boys and 1
girl.) Nolan is 8 and is in 3rd
grade, Eli is 5 and is entering kindergarten and my sweet little girl Ailey, is
1. The three of them keep us very busy
but our hearts full!
So, that’s a little bit about me! Oh, I am also part of the 10% of people who
are left handed (hence the name of my blog).
I am a wife, mother, teacher and
blogger. I love spending time with my
family, cooking, traveling, wasting way too much time on Pinterest, creating
classroom materials, and so much more!!!
